Thank you for considering InFocusTech for your miniature replica creation! I would like to give you a little background on our company and the process we employ to develop your one of a kind replica building. We are a small business located near Allentown Pennsylvania and we have been designing miniature architecture for seven years. We do all of the design, model making, mold making, casting, finishing, packing, and shipping in house. We are the only source of our product and we do not subcontract any part of the process. When we commit to a deadline we have total control over meeting that deadline. Our process has evolved over the years and we have in place a truly unique system for getting your design faithfully reproduced. Our methods also get your replicas delivered in times previously unimaginable. How do we do it? We start by analyzing pictures, drawings, renderings, blueprints, whatever is made available to us. The more information supplied, the more accurately detailed the model will be. Next we draft a finely detailed 3D drawing of the building. All windows, doors, fine details, base lettering, etc. is included. This information is transferred from a computer to a Rapid ProtoTyping machine. The same type of machine used to create products such as cell phone cases, TV remote controls, jewelry, and other small highly complex shapes. This machine makes a plastic “master model” of your building. Then we design and build rubber molds as required to accept liquid lead free pewter. We then hand cast and finish each and every piece needed. There is no mechanization of this part of the process. We cast these metal models much in the same way it was done a hundred years ago. Below is the transition from photo to 3D drawing to cast metal replica.
Replica Building quotation request (print this form) Pictures, elevations, renderings and scale drawings are all accepted. The more data we have access to, the better your model will be.
